Karongi
Karongi District is one of the seven districts that make up the Western Province of Rwanda. To the north, it is bordered by Rutsiro District and Ngororero District. To the east, it is bordered by the Southern Province, particularly the districts of Ruhango and Muhanga. To the south, it is bordered by Nyamagabe District.
To the southwest, it is bordered by Nyamasheke District, while to the west lies Lake Kivu, which forms a natural boundary between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
